Yuki Kawamura makes his first appearance on the cover of the April 2025 issue of Pia, a Japanese entertainment information app.
The cover illustration was created by renowned illustrator Masamichi Oikawa.
About Masamichi Oikawa
In 1968, Oikawa co-founded The End Studio with Tadanori Yokoo before becoming a freelance illustrator. He gained recognition for his distinctive, comic-style illustrations—laced with humor and a sharp edge—featured in posters for Shuji Terayama’s experimental theater troupe Tenjo Sajiki, as well as in magazines such as Heibon Punch, Playboy Japan, and GORO.
Oikawa began creating cover illustrations for Pia in 1975. His works, which humorously exaggerate and parody notable figures of the moment—from film actors and musicians to idols and athletes—have become the defining face of Pia, leaving a lasting impression across generations.
