On October 20, 2024, the press conference for “Melco Style Presents: FISE: Battle of the Champions” was held at the skateboarding venue of the FISE World Series Shanghai. At the press conference, in addition to introducing the Macau event, two athletes who achieved excellent results at FISE Shanghai and earned golden tickets (entry spots) to the Macau event were announced.

The Macau event adopts a newly introduced one-on-one battle format, where the world’s top skateboarders go head-to-head in intense competition, with the winner earning a chance to take home up to €10,000. The event is held in partnership with Melco Resorts & Entertainment（Melco）and Rakuten Sports, and reflects a shared vision to promote urban sports and skateboarding across Greater China.
At the press conference, Hervé André-Benoit, Founder of FISE and CEO ofHurricane Group, commented:
“This tournament reflects our philosophy of supporting urban sports and connecting skateboarding communities around the world. By bringing this event to Macau, we aim to honor the world’s best skateboarders through a format that truly matches their passion and skill.”

Through this event, we aim to provide a place where skateboarding enthusiasts can showcase their talents, further increase public interest in skateboarding, and promote cultural exchange and development in the field of sports. ”
In addition to the main tournament, the Macau event will also host open junior and amateur contests.
